OSPIRG Petition for Public Records Order Part Two

On March 4, 2013, OSPIRG sent a Petition for Public Records Order to the Department of Justice in response to a denial from Business Oregon to disclose the Annual Employment Reports for the Strategic Investment Program. On March 1, the Department of Justice gave us an opportunity to respond to an additional justification for supression given by Business Oregon. On March 4, we responded.

The Oregon Department of Justice ordered the Oregon Department of Revenue to release data about Enterprise Zones, a major tax subsidy program estimated to cost Oregon taxpayers over $75 million in the next two years, saying that there is a “strong public interest” in disclosing the information.
