OSPIRG Campus Organizer
We’re hiring recent college graduates for
campus organizer positions. OSPIRG campus organizers recruit students, faculty and community
members to investigate problems and build support for solutions. OSPIRG
campus organizers, and the volunteers they train, research issues,
build coalitions, work with the media, educate the public, and generate
citizen support on issues ranging from poverty to environmental
protection. Through their actions, they win concrete reforms, acquire
the skills necessary to be a leader in the public interest movement,
and leave a legacy of skilled, trained leaders capable of tackling
society's most pressing problems. More.
OSPIRG - Fellowship
The goal of an OSPIRG Fellowship is to help develop leaders for the public
interest movement. You might see yourself becoming a field organizer,
advocate—or even director of a public interest group someday. As a OSPIRG
Fellow, you gain hands-on experience in organizing, advocating and
leading public interest campaigns in your first year on staff. More
importantly, you get real results, whether at the local, state or
federal level. And your experience is complemented by intensive
training and the direction and advice of a senior mentor. More.
OSPIRG - Issue Advocate
Everyone wants to have an impact. Yet in too many jobs, there’s no
need to bring your conscience to the office. At the state PIRGs, our
advocates can put their ideals front and center. From protecting public
health to safeguarding consumers, to
limiting the influence of special interests in politics, OSPIRG advocates
spend every day working to create exciting and rewarding political
change on behalf of the public interest. More.
On the local, state and federal levels, advocates achieve concrete victories on their issues by employing the time tested techniques of investigative research, media exposes, grassroots organizing, advocacy and litigation.
Summer Campaign Staff
Now is the time to work for change. This summer we have the opportunity
to win big change on issues that are critical to America, from
affordable, dependable health care to more and better public
transportation. But there's one thing that we know we need to
win--citizen support and grassroots action. That's why we've partnered
with the Fund for the Public Interest to hire college students,
graduates, and activists across the state to go out into communities to
talk with citizens about the issues, raise money, and build membership
