What: Oregon legislators are setting up our state's health insurance "exchange," to pool the buying power of hundreds of thousands of Oregonians so we can get a better deal on health care.
But the same industry lobbyists who tried to derail national health care reform are now working to halt an effective insurance exchange here in Oregon. Lawmakers are holding a community meeting in Baker City on September 7 to hear what the public thinks.
