Tell Your Senators to Support Credit Card Reform

Please sign our petition urging U.S. Senators Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden to support a Credit Card Bill of Rights.

We support strong reforms to credit card company practices including the following:

* Congress should make it illegal to change credit card contract terms for any reason, including no reason.

* Congress should make it illegal to impose penalty interest rate increases on their customers who pay on time, but supposedly made a late payment to some other creditor (universal default).

* Congress should protect consumers from credit card company late payment tricks and traps that result in penalty interest rate increases.

* Congress should enact rules that require credit card companies to treat young people fairly.
